Shipping and Returns

Making sure your order arrives quick, complete, and free of damage is our goal. We try to offer an array of shipping options to ensure your needs are met. The majority of our orders ship from our headquarters in Massachusetts, but we may determine that shipping your order directly from one of our partners is the best option for various reasons, which is why shipping time is not always determined using our headquarters as the origin point. To reflect the policies of the U.S. shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound. You can easily obtain a shipping quote in your Shopping Cart once you have added an item.

Handling Time

We typically take 24-48 hours to process and ship your order from the time it is placed on our website. There can be longer lead times for oversize items and orders or for other reasons not specifically outlined here. Orders placed prior to 11AM Pacific Time have the best chance of shipping out the same day as ordered.

Non-Standard Shipping

Most orders will be deemed standard shipping. There are exceptions and restrictions to this policy. Standard shipping is typically a ground service option taking from 3 to 8 days in transit.

Exceptions and restrictions include but are not limited to:

  • Orders between 70 pounds and 150 pounds in total weight incur a $45 oversize charge
  • Orders exceeding 150 pounds in total weight will incur a $225 freight charge and will be shipped using an LTL freight carrier. See “Freight/LTL Shipments” terms below.
  • For International destinations standard shipping rates will apply.

Freight/LTL Shipments

Orders weighing more than 150 pounds in total order weight must ship freight/LTL. All orders shipping freight will incur a flat $225 charge and may incur other charges to be determined at Tava Directs discretion. All additional charges must be communicated and accepted by the customer prior to the shipment being released. This may impact shipping time as the order will not be released until the charges are approved.

Freight shipments need more information than typical orders for us to process so we will reach out after your order is placed to ask if your delivery address is a commercial or residential address, whether you need a lift gate, and other questions that will help our delivery partners ensure that your order is able to be delivered.


You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). A 25% restocking fee will apply to certain items returned due to buyer’s remorse, or items not returned due to damage or defects. Please review product listings before making a purchase.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
